Sociology <3

Sociology is the study of how society interacts with the individual.

We use the Sociological perspective to view social phenomenon.

1. We see the general in the particular (generalization – spot patterns, a wider context. to understand how other things impact you.)
2. We find the strange in the familiar (more difficult to do. Approach your everyday things and question it. We take things for granted. It looks like common sense and normal in YOUR society)

 

e.g: It was common sense back then that women shouldn’t vote. But today, it’s common sense to treat everyone equally.

 

I fear common sense changes as society changes. If that’s the case, ANYTHING, any value can change to follow suit the society.

Sociology is about both the small things, things that happen within your four walls at home up to the things that happen to nations.

Sociology is to understand society and make good solutions. ❤
